Introducing a panel of five thought leaders from the agritech and agrifood sectors, highlighting their crucial work and demonstrating how solutions to some of our most pressing challenges can be found at the intersection of agriculture and technology.

What are some of the most exciting technologies being developed in this fourth agricultural revolution and how might these shape our futures?

 

-How Are We Using Tech to Drive Food Sustainability?

Technology is changing how we produce and find our food through mobile applications, robotics, big data, satellite imagery, and more. With a growing population and fast depreciating resources, these advancements are very timely and promising.

Join us to hear about some of the most innovative technologies in this space and how technological solutions may well pave the way to sustainably feeding the planet and ensuring the well-being of many future generations to come.

 

-The Challenges of 21st Century Farming 

(Main stage - Wednesday 23rd June, 15:15-16:15)

Farming faces many challenges in the 21st Century, not least due to the need to increase global food supply under the declining availability of soil and water resources, increasing threats from climate change, and the threats of disease in livestock.

These challenges do however offer opportunities to develop and promote sustainable food systems that benefit the environment, the economy and society. Meeting these challenges will require the application of current multidisciplinary knowledge and the development of a range of technological innovations.
